1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard - "Guitar Trader" Reissue
1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard - "Guitar Trader" Reissue incl. brown Gibson hardshell case
1982 Gibson Les Paul Standard - "Guitar Trader" Reissue. Extreme rare and in excellent condition, less than 50 of these early 59 Reissue where built in the early 80s for Guitar Trader, a music store in Redbank/New Jersey. Much better than most factory Gibson LPs from the same period, as those Guitar Trader Reissues where made of hand-selected woods and had many features of late 50s Les Paul Standard, such as 1-piece neck, 1-piece body, correct details such as top-carving, thin binding in cutaway, small headstock, 17° headstock-angle, old style ABR-bridge with studs directly into the top, 2x Gibson "Tim Shaw" PAF pickups and many other details. Beautiful bookmatched figured maple-top and a nice shaped mahagony-neck (not as oversized as on most new Ri´s), Inked serialnumber on backside of headstock (The official Gibson serialnumber is impressed at the edge of the electronic compartment), "Gibson" logos hand-cut on a jig saw with the open "b" and "o" inlayed into original spec white holly headstock veneers, real silkscreened "Les Paul Model" logo and many more. Even so some newer Gibson CS models pay more atention to detail (...Hide-glue !) these early GT-reissues have an exellent sound, much closer to the "Original" ...must be the selected old woods. Comes in its orig brown Gibson case with pink interieur.
