Amazing 1959 Fender Hardtail Stratocaster in Blond finish in great condition. One the very first Stratocasters with Rosewood fretboard and Greenguard since it still has the 50s body with the 54-59 "White-guard routing" but it already has a Greenguard with only 9 screw holes instead of 11. It's got a lightweight ash body (it's 3,2kg) and beautifully worn blond finish. It's been played and loved for sure! The typical thinner 1959 profile maple neck has some nice birdeye figuring and an early slabboard. This guitar is so resonant and has such a great twang and a dry midrange ash-growl.. it's a desert island guitar. The black bottom pickups have outputs of 5.44, 5.58 and 5.41K. The pot codes read 304.9.20 (20th week of 1959) and the body date is 8/58. Being a 1959 model it of course has a missing neck date. This is a true collector's item and a piece of history! Comes incl. original brown case.
